Mike Taylor: At heart I'm a documentary humanist photographer. But I really like to add strong artistic elements to my images in an attempt to tell bigger, bolder and brighter stories. Sometimes it even works.

After almost a decade photographing football fans in pubs, Mike Taylor's The Beautiful Game won the Street Photography category in last year's Cewe Photo Award.

This June his project joins other British photographers at the La Gacilly Baden festival in Austria - Europe's largest photo exhibition.
